Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Santa Cruz - Capitola

Great stay. Large, comfortable, welcoming rooms. Outstanding front desk staff. Service with a smile in the breakfast area. Easy, secure on-site parking. Spotless facility. They check all the boxes necessary for a top notch stay!

We stopped here on the way down from SF on the way to SLO. We were pleasantly surprised with a cozy charming hotel that's clean and has convenient access to good food + pretty beaches. This is a great place for a pit stop.

Clean, quiet, beds are comfortable. Very reasonable stay for the price. No view or anything special but a good place to sleep. 4 stars because they didn’t have any hot water for the shower, don’t know what happened there?? Also very small selection of cable channels.

We stay here often. We love the location. So close to the beach! Staff is always friendly. Derek has been working here for many years and is always so friendly and helpful. Location is always clean and well kept

Stayed here for 2 nights using points. I’m a Marriott Platinum Elite member. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the front desk staff were wonderful. The hotel is clean and overall very pleasant. I don’t think I was upgraded, even with my Platinum status, but it wasn’t a big deal. There’s a laundry room on-site, which is definitely a nice convenience. A few downsides: the sink and bathtub had poor drainage, which got a bit annoying. Also, even though it’s a smoke-free hotel, I did smell weed in the hallways during my stay. The location is okay, but next time I’d probably stay closer to Santa Cruz itself to be nearer to the action.

My wife and I spent a night here at the end of October. From the outside it's a very nice looking hotel. The lobby is really nice as well. They didn't have any hot water, tea, or coffee available in the lobby (only available at breakfast). We were in room 128. A lot of little details were off and the room was fine though seemed dated. The time on the clock was off by 4 hours and couldn't be fixed (locked). The bathroom door didn't shut right. The shower tub still had an old shower curtain. The desk phone was cordless but the replace battery light was on. They had an old ipod dock sound system in the sitting room. Etc etc Breakfast was underwhelming but typical for Fairfield. Normally at hotels i can eat the scrambled eggs with a lame sausage patty, not this weekend. The sausage patty looked much worse than normal, the eggs looked terrible. This location thankfully had a quiche which was edible and enough toppings to make some oatmeal bearable. Also, tried to wash it down with a chocolate milk... It was ok per the date but it had turned and was rancid...

Comfortable and clean! Our family of 8 enjoyed the comfortable beds, tasty breakfast, and quiet neighborhood. Water pressure in the showers was sufficient and the towels were large and fluffy! There was a fireplace in the breakfast room that we enjoyed sitting near. When it got a bit stuffy in our room, the AC worked well and was quiet. One drawback to room 128 - the bathroom door didn't lock or even shut properly. You could open it by just pulling on it. Other than that, no complaints! Great experience overall.

Located conveniently off Highway 1. Rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Warm and responsive staff ensure that the hospitality experience is top notch. The area seemed extremely safe but in any case the underground parking of the hotel doubly ensures the safety of your vehicle. All places in Santa Cruz and Capitola are within 15 minutes and not to mention the shopping mall right next to the hotel in case you've forgotten to carry essentials for the trip from home.
